LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police say a woman was grazed by a bullet on the Lower East Side of Manhattan Sunday morning.

The bullet hit the 26-year-old victim as she got out of a cab on Rivington Street near Ludlow Street, according to the NYPD.

The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police do not believe she was the intended target.

Officers say the shooter got away on foot.

He is believed to be a male Hispanic wearing a grey sweatshirt who fled the scene on an electric bike.
