BROOKLYN (WABC) -- A Brooklyn real estate executive is trying to drum-up private financing for a sky gondola link between Manhattan and the Brooklyn-Queens waterfront.

The plan envisions cars that can fit up to 38 people and would arrive once every 30 to 40 seconds.

They could potentially move 5,000 people an hour in each direction.

The Roosevelt Island tram carried more than 2.5 million passengers in 2013.

The new gondolas would be the next generation.

Dan Levy, president and founder of real estate website CityRealty, will pitch the plan at a real estate summit Tuesday.
