NEW YORK - A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of New Jersey as more drenching rain moves into the area.

The watch remains in effect until 9:00 p.m. The storms could include some heavy downpours.
Another soaking was expected in the New York City this afternoon. Flooding is possible in low-lying and poorly drained areas.
AccuWeather says, showers and thunderstorms will be around into tonight.
The good news is the rain will be gone for the weekend as both days look mostly sunny with temperatures in the 80s.
