ACCUWEATHER: Rain tapers off, skies brighten

The AccuWeather forecast from the Eyewitness News weather team.

NEW YORK - The heavy rain that moved through the New York area Monday morning has tapered off and skies will brighten for the rest of the day.

The AccuWeather forecast says it will be cloudy and cool for Monday, with a chance of more showers in the afternoon.

The high will be in the mid-70's.

Tuesday will begin with fog and drizzle with isolated showers the rest of the day, and a high of 73.
