NEW YORK - The calendar may say it's fall, but this weekend has felt a lot more like summer with sunny and hot weather in the New York area.
The temperature Sunday in Central Park reached 90 degrees, breaking the record set in 1959.
But for those heading to the beach, there are still warnings of rough surf and dangerous rip currents stirred up by Hurricane Maria and the remnants of Jose.
Monday will remain partly sunny, warm and humid with a high of 86.
Temperatures will remain at least 80 for most of the week, but autumn weather will return by Friday with a high of 73 and Saturday will be 67.
