A woman's baseline mammogram can make the difference between life and death. That's why when one New Jersey woman couldn't get hers back from a defunct radiologist. That's when she got Seven on your Side.Michele Freed's radiologist of five years, Mahwah Radiology Associates, went out of business last spring. She's been trying to get her baseline mammograms back from them since December.

"They wanted to make sure to tell me bring your old films," said Michele Freed

When Michele calls she hears, "Hello, you've reached Mahwah Radiology Associates. We are no longer open for business. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Seven on your Side went to the former offices. It looked like something was there, but the business was not open.

Mahwah Radiology Associates returned our call. They said the have been getting the films to patients in a timely fashion and that they published announcements of their closing in the local paper as per consumer regulations.

Tappy Phillips and Seven on your Side found the doctor's wife distributing records out of the office buildings lobby, which was good news to Michele

There they were, all her mammograms the very next day after we called.

Michele says her new radiologist recently gave her a clean bill of health.
