A woman gave birth in a car along Interstate 280 in Parsippany Thursday morning. Authorities say the woman pulled over on the highway's westbound lanes, near Interstate 80, and called 911 just after 11:15 a.m.

State police emergency operators talked the woman through the birth over the phone, according to officials.

Troopers then arrived at the scene and completed the delivery of the baby. Both mother and child were taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital.

The hospital tells Eyewitness News the baby's name is Sawyer Grey Silbmerman. The parents have been identified as Crescent and Jamie Silberman.

This is reportedly the couple's second child. They also have a 4-year-old named Sydney.
