Two-alarm fire in Bronx

Fire spread to second building

Bronx firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire in the Williamsbridge section.The fire is burning in a three-story building at 740 E 214th St

It was reported just after 7:30 a.m.

Heavy fire appeared from the top floor the building and it appears the fire has spread to an adjoining structure.

The intensity of the fire forced firefighters to mount an exterior attack.

The FDNY broght in additional tower ladder to assist in the firefighting effort.

There are more than two dozen units and more than 100 firefighters at the scene.

No injuries are reported and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
