Police officer accused of sex with minors

NORWALK - WABC Authorities say 46-year-old Thomas Cummings, of Norwalk, was charged with three counts of enticing a minor, two counts of second-degree sex assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

The charges carry maximum sentence of 45 years.

According to the arrest warrant affidavits, Cummings allegedly used computer Web sites and chat rooms to entice minors to his home, where he showed them pornographic materials and engaged in sexual intercourse.

Cummings was released on $75,000 bond for his appearance in Stamford Superior Court on February 14.
