Teen arrested for bringing knife to school

JERSEY CITY-WABC Authorities say the 13-year-old boy packed the knife in his sock and then poked an 11-year-old with it.

The boy was arrested at about 10 a.m. at School 14 on Union Street, according to officials. He was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, including possession of a weapon in a educational institution.

The 11-year-old was not injured. He reportedly told police the 13-year-old showed him the knife and then poked him in the shirt with it.

Authorities say the boy turned the knife over when questioned. He was reportedly searched, but no other weapons were found.
