Extra security in place at LI high school

LEVITTOWN The school district on it's Web Site says the threat was not directed at any one individual or group of individuals.

The school message says all lockers in the building will be checked and students were not be admitted to the building before 6:30 this morning.

In addition, backpacks were checked and seniors will not be allowed to leave the school during midday.

The message was discovered Wednesday and mentioned today's date February 15th.
