Murder suspect arrested in class on LI

Accused of murder in Baltimore
LONG ISLAND Nicholas Dudley Weaver of Baltimore was awaiting extradition proceedings Friday in First District Court in Hempstead, a day after his arrest on a Maryland warrant.

A Baltimore police spokesman said the Adelphi (Uh DEL feye) senior is a suspect in the shooting of David Baskin Jr.

Newsday reported Friday that Baskin's family, which won $50,000 in the Maryland lottery, has offered a $5,000 reward for information in the slaying.

Nassau County Police Lt. Kevin Smith said Weaver was unarmed and arrested without incident.

The name of Weaver's attorney could not immediately be determined.

An Adelphi spokeswoman did not return a message for comment.
