Police say a Bronx man and his 12-year-old son were followed home, ambushed, bound and shot in an apparent robbery attempt Saturday night.Authorities say the 41-year-old and his son were coming home from the 219th Street subway station when a suspect, with a gun, approached and forced them to the rear of the victim's Williamsbridge home.

Police say the man and his son, whose names have not been released, were bound with duct tape. They say the suspect then shot the father in the abdomen and grazed the son's leg before fleeing.

Police are investigating whether the gunman followed the two victims from the father place of employment in Brooklyn or if he was waiting for them when they got off the train.

The father was listed in critical condition and his son was in stable condition at Jacobi Hospital.
