3 dead from carbon monoxide poisoning

Two others injured
NORTH BABYLON Suffolk County police were called to 437 Route 27 in North Babylon after a tenant, 34 year-old Keith Celli, stated that he and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Michelle Sierra, were sickened by fumes.

Celli and Sierra were taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip and then transferred to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson. Their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Fire Department personnel also removed three other people from the home, all whom died. They are identified as 27-year-old Ricardo Pearce, 25-year-old Tanisha Armstrong and 4-year-old Talani Johnson.

A generator and kerosene heater were found within the home. The Medical Examiner's Office has determined that the three victims died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
