Police hunt for fake cop who raped teen

QUEENS Detectives from the Queens Special Victims Squad are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspect.

The incident reportedly happened on February 16 just after midnight at 137th Avenue and 155th Street.

Authorities say the 16-year-old victim was approached by the suspect, who claimed to be a police officer. She told police that the man told the her to get into his automobile.

He then drove the victim to a parking lot behind 102-50 185 Street. While there, police say he pulled a knife and forcibly raped the victim.

The suspect than fled the scene in his vehicle, officials said.

The victim was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where she was treated.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s. He is approximately 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds. Authorities say he was driving a late model black pick-up truck.
