Alleged sexual assault at SI bus stop

Woman forced to perform a sex act
NEW SPRINGVILLE Eyewitness News reporter Lisa Colagrossi has the story.

Ironically, the bus stop is just about quarter-mile from both the Staten Island Mall and the 122nd Precinct satellite police station. It is a very busy area, and that's what makes this crime so shocking.

The 24-year-old woman was waiting at the bus stop when she was grabbed from behind, then dragged into someone's backyard.

The attacker told the woman he had a gun. Although she never saw a gun, he forced her to perform a sex act.

The homeowner then came upon them and saw the woman was crying. The attacker stole some money and then took off running. He also stole an electrical device from her purse.

The suspect was described as a black man about 5-foot-5, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.

So far, no arrests have been made.
