Recycling center to ring tosser's rescue

NEW JERSEY That's who Linda Bode called when she couldn't find her wedding band and her family heirloom diamond engagement ring last month.

The Old Bridge resident remembered she had tossed the jar they were soaking in into a recycling bin.

Workers at Colgate Recycling Center figured out which truck had hauled in the jar. They sorted through the trash and found both rings.

Middlesex County Improvement Authority recycling manager Ed Windas tells The Star-Ledger of Newark it was natural to help. His wife has lost hers before.
