They say it's not yet clear how he died or how the fire started.
Police say the man's body was found on the first floor, where the fire was reported shortly before midnight Saturday. The building is on Adee Avenue, near the Baychester neighborhood.
Firefighters had the blaze under control before 1 a.m.
Fire marshals and police are investigating and Sunday night, they are awaiting autopsy results.
