Obama wins Mississippi Democratic primary

Barack Obama won Mississippi's Democratic primary in the most racially divided contest of the presidential campaign.African-American voters overwhelmingly supported Obama, pushing him to a double-digit victory over Senator Hillary Clinton.

Exit polls early in the evening showed two out of three white voters cast their votes for Clinton.

Neither candidate was in Mississippi. Both campaigned in Pennsylvania today, preparing for that state's primary next month.
