A tractor-trailer hauling large plastic water bottles crashed into the divider on southbound Interstate 95 in Rye, causing traffic delays in both directions. Newscopter-7 was live over the scene.

Eyewitness News is told the rig crashed just south of Interstate 287 and caught fire just after 3:30 a.m. this morning.

The fire closed the southbound lanes, while the cargo -- large plastic water bottles -- scattered onto the northbound lanes.

One southbound lane opened after nearly three hours, while the northbound lanes remained closed for water bottle removal.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
