Murdered woman's husband arrested

Wife's bones found in suitcase
QUEENS Authorities say 40-year-old Edwin Fuentes was arrested Thursday on charges he hit his 18-year-old son. The boy is said to suffer from a mental impairment. While police were questioning Fuentes about his wife's disappearance, his son told them that his father hit him in the head with a stick on March 10.

Fuentes is charged with assault and endangering an incompetent person.

Sources familiar with the case tell Eyewitness News that police are awaiting the results of DNA tests to see if the father is linked in any way to the disappearance of Reyna De Los Santos.

The 42-year-old woman had been missing since last June before her bones were found in suitcase by a group of kids in a Queens park. The bones included a skull with teeth, and an arm.
