Sexual predator strikes again in W. NY

Police believe all incidents are connected
WEST NEW YORK Authorities say the woman was returning home from work when a man approached her at 53rd Street and Hudson Avenue around 4 a.m.

He reportedly pointed a silver and black handgun at her, directed her to her car, which was parked nearby, and then forced her to commit the sex act. Afterwards, he allegedly robbed her.

The man is described as an 18- to 20-year-old white male, possibly Hispanic, around 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall with dark hair and dark eyes. He is clean shaven and armed with a semi-automatic pistol. He reportedly speaks English without an accent, and also speaks Spanish.

Earlier the same evening, at approximately 3 a.m., a 53-year-old woman said a man fitting the same description attempted a similar act on her at 52nd Street and Hudson Avenue.

She said she was able to escape by slamming the door to her building.

Authorities think both incidents involve the same man and could be connected to another incident that happened on March 5 at around 6 a.m. That incident involved a woman at 52nd Street and Palisades Avenue. She was reportedly forced to perform a sex act in her car before the suspect robbed her.

He also threatened to find her and kill her if she told police, authorities said.
