Prize-winning show dogs stolen, again

NEW JERSEY This time -- two corgis were taken just a few minutes before they were going to appear at a show in Edision.

Eyewitness News reporter Carolina Leid has more.

The dogs' owner says she went inside a restaurant for lunch. When she came out and looked inside her car her prized show dogs were gone.

"I haven't slept. I just don't know where they are and what people are doing to them," Fave Adcox said.

Faye Adcox says she's had a tough time sleeping since her two prized corgi's disappeared.

Yesterday afternoon Faye stopped for a bite to eat here at Harold's New York Deli in Edison before heading to a dog show in West Orange.

When Faye got back to her truck two-year-old Daddy Warbucks and one-year-old Sammy were gone.

"We're all heart broken and just sick about this," said Adcox.

Faye has bred and shown show dogs for 12 years now. These dogs are her life.

Faye has gone to animal shelters, vet offices and dog shows handing out fliers.

Faye says the crooks got away with her GPS unit, something she doesn't care about.

All she cares about are those two precious puppies.

"Take them to a shelter, a local fire house, a vet no questions asked. I won't press charges. I don't care about the GPS," Faye said. "The dogs, that's all that I want back."
