Deadly shooting in Bronx sports bar

Police make arrest

Police say a previous dispute led to the shooting of two men in the Norwood section of the Bronx Monday morning.Authorities say the gunman got into a dispute with another man inside the Oasis Cafe and Sports Bar at 3441 Jerome Avenue.

Police arrested Luis Paulino of the Bronx and are expected to charge him with murder and attempted murder.

Paulino is said to have left the bar before returning at around 12:20 a.m. this morning and opening fire inside the bar according to police.

Two men, said not to be related to the original dispute, were hit by the barrage of bullets.

One man identified as Manuel Saico was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at North Central Bronx Hospital. A second victim was shot in the torso. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious condition.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark colored vehicle.

The motive is not known at this time.
