One car apparently sparked six small fires along a 25 mile stretch of the Garden State Parkway this morning. The fires were all reported along the Parkway between mile marker 74.4 in Ocean County and mile marker 47 in Atlantic County.

All six fires were apparently started by sparks flying off of one car as it traveled on the parkway.

The fires were all put out by New Jersey State Police troopers at the scene.

The driver was stopped and authorities are investigating. No charges were immediately filed.
