The Archdiocese of New York has posted on its Web site that all 5,000 tickets have been allotted to see Pope Benedict XVI outside St. Patrick's Cathedral when he arrives there on Apirl 19th.The pope is expected to arrive at about 9 a.m. to celebrate Mass. Those gathered outside will have to pass through a security checkpoint between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
People will still be able to see the pope in his popemobile when he travels north on Fifth Avenue from St. Patrick's Cathedral to East 72nd Street at 1:15 p.m., following the mass.
No tickets are necessary. However, the event is standing room only, so people are advised to arrive early.
