A prestigious, black-tie fund-raising gala was held in Midtown Wednesday in honor of Walt Disney company president and CEO Robert Iger. ABC's Diane Sawyer presented Mr. Iger with the Lincoln Center Laureate Award at the center's annual spring gala.

The event celebrated the music of Disney films, from the classics to the contemporary.

Proceeds from the gala fund programming for the 400 performances produced by Lincoln Center each year.

"This is our city's and our country's most iconic center for performing arts, cultural arts," Iger said. "And it deserves our support."

Iger has served on Lincoln Center's board of directors for more than 12 years.

Disney is the parent company of WABC-TV.
