Two hurt when car hits scaffold

Two pedestrians are slightly injured after a car jumped the curb and hit some scaffolding on East 27th Street in Manhattan. A fire department spokesman says the accident occurred near Madison Avenue at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday.

It's not immediately clear what the car hit first - the people or the scaffolding.

The pedestrians are described as a 35-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman
