Opposition to a big, big mansion in Greenwich

Greenwich Former town zoning commission chairman Louisa Stone says the proposed would be more than 30,000 square feet and beyond anything that exists in Greenwich.

The mansion features eight bedrooms, 26 toilets, an array of multiple baths and other amenities, including a gym, theater, lockers, wine cellar, staff quarters and game rooms.

A lawyer representing the owner downplays the project's size, saying the proposed mansion meets most of the town's regulations.

One neighbor says the mansion has far more floor space devoted to Turkish baths, Finnish baths and other amenities, than living space normally found in single-family homes.
