Both are listed in critical but stable condition. One was reportedly shot in the neck and the other in the back and thigh.
After getting shot, but before going to the hospital, the men managed to drive the car to Irvington. They stopped at 78 Maple Avenue, just north of Pleasant Avenue, for unknown reasons.
Both Newark and Irvington police are investigating the car and the shooting.
