Putnam breaks up ID theft ring

Three Brooklyn residents arrested
NEW YORK A search turned up stolen electronic equipment and $5,000 in crack cocaine.

Lieutenant Brian Karst says two women - 29-year-old Louise James and 53-year-old Mary Chung, and a man 29-year-old Renelique Sanchez - all of Brooklyn were arrested.

Police say they planned to use the fake IDs to get credit cards.

Each is charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy.

They are all in the Putnam County Jail.
