More charges for shooting suspect

IRVINGTON Investigators say the one-man crime wave 27-year-old Shaquan Johnson is accused of executing on Sunday was worse than originally thought.

Johnson dressed in a blue shirt and tie to face murder, attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, and aggrivated assault.

Johnson had already been charged with aggravated assault and weapons in the shooting of an Irvington police officer.

On Tuesday he was formally charged with the murder of 23-year-old Gary Farrar, a Rutgers University Student. As well as, the attempted murder of another man.

Johnson has also been charged with attempting to kidnap a 14-year-old boy a half-hour before the three shootings.

Police say all the attacks were unprovoked.

A judge has raised Johnson's bail to $1.5 million from $500,000.
