It is a sign of the times.
Eyewitness News reporter Lucy Yang has the story.
Zahir Uddin had just finished a delivery Friday night and returned to Papa John's to pick up the next batch of pizza when he realized he had been robbed.
"It's pretty bad," he said. "I lost $800, $900. Of course, I don't make that much money, so it's very hard for me."
Surveillance video shows the thief walking right up to Uddin's vehicle, swiping the GPS unit and iPod inside and then making a run for it.
The thief was long gone by the time Uddin noticed the loss, but the store's surveillance camera caught it all. Uddin and his manager posted the tape on YouTube, where it has gotten several hundred hits so far.
They are hoping someone will recognize the man and do the right thing.
"This guy need to grow up," Uddin said. "He can't steal. He need to get a job."
Putting his food where his heart is, the manager is now offering a reward for anyone who returns the stolen items or is generous enough to replace them - free pizzas for a week.
