Four story fall at Queens courthouse

QUEENS The person was trapped inside the Long Island City Courthouse at 25-10 Court Square.

Authorities rescued the victim, who fell down an elevator shaft just after 11:20 a.m.

The man was rescued from the shaft and was taken to the hospital.

The courthouse building was designated as a New York City Landmark in 1976. It is also listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places.
