LIRR, Metro-North concessions going up?

NEW YORK The MTA board is expected to vote next week on raising prices on the goods by about 25 percent.

An LIRR spokesman says the railroad hasn't raised beer prices in four years. There has been no across-the-board price increases since 1996.

He says the price increase would help offset higher labor and product costs. He says the increase is also in line with prices charged at Penn Station.

The LIRR says the railroad grossed $2.5 million in sales from its concessions last year.
