A car slammed into a cleaners in the Glendale section of Queens Tuesday morning. The car crashed into the Mohawk Cleaners at 80-17 Myrtle Avenue just before 9 a.m.

The owner of the dry cleaners had just opened shop, and there was a customer in the store at the time of the crash.

Authorities say the driver was attempting to avoid an oil truck at the time of the crash and ended up in the front of the dry cleaners.

"He said the mat got stuck under his brake, and he kept hitting the brake," witness Vincent Henderson. "And he was trying to stop and saw the oil truck and he just ended up getting out of the way of the oil truck."

Emergency crews took the shaken up driver to a hospital.

There is no word on the extent of the inuries to the customer or the business owner.
