Carey, 38, married little-screen actor Nick Cannon at the home Carey just bought in Eleuthera, the Bahamas, the paper quoted a source close to the singer.
Latina.com, the Web site for Latina magazine, cited a source near Cannon as saying the nuptials took place on Wednesday, and In Touch Weekly reported that Cannon had designed a $2.5 million ring he gave to his new bride.
It's the second marriage for Carey, who was previously married to Tommy Mottola.
Cannon was linked to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks, to whom Cannon proposed via the Times Square jumbotron. They broke up five months later.
Carey scored her 18th number one hit with "Touch My Body" recently, topping Elvis in the number of No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts.
Her E=MC2 album also debuted at No. 1 on the charts.
