A firefighter went down into the 40 foot deep pit and rescued the curious cat. Pretty lucky.
"As soon as Lucky was cleaned, fed, and cuddled, he investigated his new home and promptly went to sleep. He's curious, big-eyed, and ready for adventure," Liberty Humane Society Director, Vivian Kiggins, said,
Lucky is still too young to be adopted, but will be old enough within a couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, the Liberty Humane Society shelter has lots of cats and dogs awaiting new homes. For information, call (201) 547-4147.
