The New York City Health Department has started issuing citations to chain restaurants that aren't posting calorie counts on their menus.Monday is the first day that restaurants are being cited for not following the law. But fines will not start until July.

The New York City law requiring restaurants to post calorie counts applies to chains with at least 15 outlets across the country.

The state Restaurant Association is fighting the law in court.
