Police search for a pair of robbers

NEW YORK The group is said to have hit at least eight delis and pharmacies in Manhattan and Brooklyn since last month.

Police say they are looking for at least two men who are armed and usually hit around 4 a.m.

"Two black guys," Abdu Alwid said. "One is fat guy, and one is skinny."

Alwid had worked at the AM/PM Grocery for 10 years without any problems. On Tuesday, he was afraid for his life as two men came into the store demanding money and cigarettes.

The NYPD says the same men have been hitting 24-hour corner stores, including two in Manhattan and six in Brooklyn.

The gunmen took all of the money, put it in a bag and told Alwid to hit the floor. It's the same M.O. the suspects have used each time, including at Cho's Grocery, which is located in the Village.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-800-577-TIPS.
