Police: 16-year-old attacked for his bike

WEEKSVILLE Eyewitness News is told the 16-year-old was attacked by two other young men at the intersection of Albany Avenue and Empire Boulevard. The suspects stole his bicycle, money and cell phone and fled the scene.

One community patrol worker who responded to the scene said the teen was so badly beaten he could not remember his name, officials say. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Authorities said it does not appear to be a bias attack.
