A 67-year-old man was fatally shot twice in the chest during a liquor store robbery in Staten Island Wednesday. The shooting happened at Discount Wines and Liquors, located at 188 Lincoln Avenue in the Grant City section, around 8 p.m. Authorities say the victim was the owner, and neighbors say he recently bragged about becoming a grandfather.

Police describe the suspect as being 5-foot-7, wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and blue jeans. He reportedly fled down South Railroad Avenue, carrying the store's cash register, before jumping into a light blue pickup truck.
