Police describe the suspect as being 5-foot-7, wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and blue jeans. He reportedly fled down South Railroad Avenue, carrying the store's cash register, before jumping into a light blue pickup truck.
Liquor store owner killed during robbery
STATEN ISLAND The shooting happened at Discount Wines and Liquors, located at 188 Lincoln Avenue in the Grant City section, around 8 p.m. Authorities say the victim was the owner, and neighbors say he recently bragged about becoming a grandfather.
