Police: LI woman slashed, dragged

Police have arrested a woman on Long Island for slashing and dragging a woman about 125 feet with her car. The woman, a 31-year-old Hempstead resident, was charged with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon. She is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.

Nassau County police say the suspect slashed the the other woman's face and chest on Friday in Hempstead near Rutland Road and Jerusalem Avene. Then suspect proceeded to drag the same woman when she tried to stop her from driving off.

Police say the victim required 40 sutures for her face and 15 for her breast to close the wounds.
