The boy, believed to be 11 years old, was rushed to Southside Hospital, reportedly receiving CPR by ambulance crews. He was later pronouced dead.
Police say it appears the incident is an accidental death.
Neighbors say three young boys were playing in the pool, located near his home. The victim was reportedly playing in the deep end when he started calling for help. He then went under and didn't resurface.
Neighbors say the children went into the pool without any adult supervision.
