Obama picks up another superdelegate

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Joyce Lalonde of Eastpointe is a member of the National Education Association and Michigan Education Association boards of directors. She said in a release Tuesday that she is supporting Obama.

She says she's backing the Illinois senator because he wants to create an education system that puts children first.

She's the eighth Michigan superdelegate to endorse Obama. Seven have endorsed rival Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Michigan has 27 superdelegates so far and will choose two more next month.

The last two primaries will be held today, making it likely that more of Michigan's uncommitted superdelegates soon could endorse Obama.
