Two Long Island men and a relative in Michigan are accused of conspiring to hire a hitman to kill five members of a Guatemalan family. Authorities say they intended to retaliate for shootings that took place in the Central American country.Suffolk County District Attorney Tom Spota says Benedicto and Elmer Godoy are charged with conspiracy to commit murder and are being held on $250,000 cash bail each. Elvis Godoy faced an extradition hearing following his arrest on the same charges in Commerce Township, Mich.

Prosecutors say the trio wanted five people from the same family killed because of a series of shootings in Guatemala that involved relatives of both families.
