Baby born on flight from Philippines

By all accounts, it's a miracle that little Jaden Lawrence Brown is alive and well. The preemie is resting comfortably in a New Jersey hospital, a far cry from his journey into this world.

Daniel and Jacel Brown were on an exhaustingly long flight from Jacel's home in the Philippines to the United States when the six-month pregnant woman knew something was wrong.

Husband Daniel, a trained emergency medical technician, shifted his wife from their coach seat to the kitchen area of the plane.

There, 37-thousand feet in the air, somewhere above Canada, their two-pound-13-ounce bundle of joy was born.

Jaden was a fighter, whose strong heart and will to live far outweighed his tiny frame and the circumstances of his birth.

These proud parents are hoping for dual citizenship from both Canada and the U.S. for a child whose birth couldn't be confined to boundaries.

The baby is expected to stay at Lourdes Medical Center for several weeks.
