CT man accused McDonald's sex assault

FAIRFIELD, CT - The incident allegedly occurred on June 1 at 6:00 pm at the McDonald's Restaurant on 536 Post Road.

According to investigators, an 11-year-old boy entered the men's bathroom while his mother entered the ladies' bathroom.

The boy was allegedly approached by a man, who began asking personal questions, extended a cell phone toward the boy told him to put his number in the phone, and asked him to enter a bathroom stall with him.

He allegedly pulled the lower front portion of the victim's shorts, exposing the boy's groin area and lower abdomen.

The boy pulled away and fled the bathroom. He later told his mother, who returned to McDonald's to inform them. It was then reported to the police to prevent other children from becoming victims.

On that same day, at 8 p.m., officers responded to a report by a woman that a man had been leering teens in front of Bob's Store.

Police identified the suspect as Jose Lameirao, 45, of 1033 Reef Road in Fairfield.

He was arrested on a warrant charging him with risk of injury to a minor, sexual assault and other offenses.

Lameirao was held on $75,000 bond.
