A 45-year-old Long Island man has been arrested for soliciting a child for sex over the internet, according to Nassau County police. They say what makes this different than the usual use of the internet is that a 14-year-old child filed a report through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tip line last month.

Ronald Stein, an FDNY paramedic from Sea Cliff, is accused of contacting the child and asking to set up a meeting.

He was arrested on several charges, including promoting a sexual performance of a child. Authorities say they have yet to go through Stein's computers, which could lead to more charges.
