Suspect caught in teacher punch, robbery

NEW YORK The grainy tape shows the attacker coming up behind the 62-year-old teacher as she opens a crucifix-adorned gate to the Good Shepherd School in Brooklyn at 6:40 a.m. Monday.

Police say the attacker followed the victim after she got out of her car.

In the video, the suspect knocks the woman onto the ground. As she shields herself with her hands, he grabs two bags and runs off.

The victim was treated and released.

Police say the 18-year-old suspect was arrested after detectives linked him through other crimes.

He attended a juvenile detention center in Yonkers, N.Y. and was also suspected in several other robberies, including two on food deliverymen.
